GHS BAND PARENTS MEETING MINUTES - MAY 11, 2010
AGENDA ITEM DISCUSSION RECOMMENDATIONS/ACTIONS RESPONSIBLE
       
I.  Call to Order   The meeting was called to order by  Amy Smith
    Vice President Amy Smith at 7:04PM.  
       
II.  Presentation of the Minutes   The minutes of March 9, 2010 and April   
    13, 2010 meetings were approved as Doris Kowalski
    distributed.  
III.  Treasurer's Report Band Parents reviewed report ending  The report will be filed for audit. Julie Nelson
  4/30/2010.     
       
IV.  Director's Report Preparations continue for the Big Band Dip scheduled for Friday, May 14, 2010.  Three tickets have been distributed to each Band student; students are expected to sell all 3 tickets.  Big Band Dip begins with Swing Dance lessons from 5:30-6:30PM.  Jazz Bands begin performances at 6:30PM.  Items still needed for the evening include Christmas lights for decorating.  Food donations/assignments were reviewed.  Dinner will be $5.00; dessert willl be $1.00.  Sign-up sheets are posted.  Please help!   Ms. Shadensack
       
  Jazz Combo is performing at the Art Show Wednesday, May 12, 2010.   Ms. Shadensack 
       
  All returning Band student parents are encouraged to attend a meeting on May 25th from 6:00-8:00PM.  Information will be discussed regarding Band for the next school year.  There will not be a summer mailing.  All information will be distributed on May 25th.  Please attend.  Upcoming events are outlined on the handout:  Graduation - May 30th and Memorial Day Parade - May 31st.    Mr. Bredemeier

for the Band Lock-in due to cost. Flags No report. Ann Seibert
YMCA is $1000.00 less than at      
Northgate.  Would require 30 Uniforms Collect Marching uniforms after  
chaperones, working in shifts;   the parade.   Will need  parents to  Ann Shumaker & 
this is a YMCA rule.  Lock-in   assist.      Cheryl Johnson
